Kaleb goes permanent…

It’s time for Kaleb blog number 5! this time round he tells us about his experience in the Permanent Department of Resourcing Solutions and the hunt for “passive” candidates.

Two weeks in the Permanent department went very quickly…..This department is constantly supplied with new opportunities to be able to deliver on with full requirements set and sent by our many clients.

Just like in the contract department, the permanent department has established itself as first choice to be able to supply new and credible professionals to industry recognised businesses.  This department is present on the “Preferred Suppliers list” of many of the industry’s top consultancies, contractors and clients.  On many occasions we can start work on resourcing candidates before our competition, due to the fact that Resourcing Solutions has a long history of successful delivery with our clients and great customer service and built up rapport.  

Resourcing  Solutions has nurtured great contact and trust form industry the recognised companies and many of the consultants within the department act as account managers for much of the new business opportunities which comes in the company on a weekly bases,  for either permanent and contractual requirements.

As I said at the start, time seems to fly in this department the weeks go by so quickly, I guess this is due to the fact that there is so much detailed calling to be done, qualification, cross selling and lead chasing to be able to deliver the very best of candidates to our clients and update or build up the company database.  

Many delicate, tactful and compelling emails need to be sent as well as LinkedIn messages to approach those professionals not known to the data based but are known professionally within the industry.   These professionals may already be in a comfortable work position and have not thought of exploring new options so are classified as the “passive” market.  We need to approach potential candidates like these to be able to offer them new opportunities which will benefit them and our clients.  It is our role within the permanent department to make contact with new and very credible professionals and present to them a new options which may be a new opportunity which will extend their career goals.

We apprentices are soon to be selected to permanently work in one of the departments.  We will be working alongside a Client Relationship Manager to develop a further understanding of our roles in a more detailed, concentrated faction.   We will start to be accountable for particular recruitment requirements and business related tasks as a permanent member of that particular team.
